ORNA BONEY M. DESPUÉS DE CUARENTA Y CINCO AÑOS
Boney M. is not only the cult group of the "Disco Music" of the 70s and 80s, but also the most legendary group of the entire "Dance" culture. Originally created in 1976 in Germany by composer and producer Frank Farian, the quartet made up of the Jamaican singers Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett, the model Maizie Williams (born on the Caribbean island of Montserrat) and the West Indian DJ-dancer-contortionist Bobby Farrell, dominated the European charts almost exclusively from the end of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, with a succession of successes that it faces today, they maintain an unquestionable validity.
In addition, Boney M. was the first Western pop group to perform live in the then called the Soviet Union, and were also the first European group to perform in Moscow's Red Square. Thanks to social networks, the Boney M. phenomenon has once again left its mark on the new generations with Rasputin who, 44 years later, is once again at the forefront of today. The international success of Boney M. confirms that his songs are definitely part of the collection of "pop music classics".
